In 1975, Ginette Reno marked a milestone in Quebec’s musical history with this song by Jean-Pierre Ferland. During the Saint-Jean-Baptiste celebration, she performed the piece on Mount Royal and her exceptional performance became a cult moment of Quebec culture. She recorded it the same year with a superb orchestral and piano version, arranged by Pierre Leduc and Léon Bernier.
