Paul Piché first heard this traditional song when a group of young residents of a commune sang it as a tribute to one of their loved ones who had died. Their interpretation was then very slow and solemn. He then had the idea of ??adapting it, with his collaborator Pierre Bertrand. It was the latter who proposed to give it a slightly more rock feel.
